IMMEDIATE – Power BI Developer – AUD 700 + Super per Day – 12 Months – NSW Government Project
Role: Power BI DeveloperContract: 12 Months (High Possibility of Extensions)Pay: $600-700 + Super per dayHours: 8hr/Day, 40hr/WeekLocation: Lismore, NSW or Remote
Responsibilities:Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and objectives.Analyse data sources and identify key metrics for reporting.Design and develop data models that align with business requirements.Optimize data models for performance and scalability.Create visually compelling and interactive reports and dashboards using Power BI.Implement custom calculations and measures to derive meaningful insights.Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources into Power BI.Ensure data accuracy and consistency across different datasets.Participate in project working groups for development and implementation of business intelligence systems, processes, and reports to ensure quality, timely and accurate reporting of organisational performance.Provide training and support to end-users on Power BI functionalities.Monitor the performance of Power BI reports and dashboards.Identify and implement optimizations for improved efficiency.Maintain thorough documentation of data models, report designs, and development processes.Ensure documentation is up-to-date and accessible to relevant team members.
Requirements:Demonstrated understanding of the Microsoft BI Stack, including Premium Capacity Services (Power BI Dashboards, Datasets, Dataflows and Azure Data Factory), Enterprise On-premises products (SQL Server Enterprise, SSAS, SSRS and SSIS) and related development languages such as Power Query, DAX, C#.Demonstrated knowledge of Power BI Service Administration and Data Governance, including application of Row-level and Object-level Security in Premium Capacity Datasets and Dataflows.Proven experience as a Power BI Developer or similar role, with proficiency in creating complex Power BI reports and dashboards.Strong understanding of data modeling concepts and best practices, including experience with data extraction, transformation, and loading processes.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.Strong communication and presentation skills.
