PHP Developer

We are relentlessly focused on helping car dealerships and other automotive players grow and optimize their used car business.

PositionAs a PHP Developer you will join our development team where you will help to shape our platform, develop new products and services, build new applications and features within the automotive context. In addition, you will also participate in technological decisions in the further use of technologies.As a PHP Developer, you should be comfortable with back-end coding, frameworks, and third-party libraries. You should also be able to do basic front-end coding.You are a team player with a knack for visual design and functionality. You actively listen to understand what the business wants, and you can make it a reality.PHP Developer at eCarsTrade has good collaboration skills to work with our CTO, Product Manager, designer and developers as they work towards creating a finished product.

Responsibilities· Maintain and refactor the existing web platform· Develop new features and products, integrate with 3rd party services and APIs· Research and integrate new web technologies· Resolve support tickets for IT-related issues· Analyze business needs and propose technical solutions· Communicate effectively with colleagues from development team· Create timeframes and work schedules to meet deadlines· Brainstorm new ideas and features with other developers using wireframing tools· Perform system setup and testing, report and resolve bugs· Analyze web platform for functionality and performance and suggest opportunities for improvement

Main requirements· Strong understanding of principles of OOP· Excellent knowledge of and experience in PHP· Experience in other server-side programming languages is a plus· Experience with modern PHP frameworks· Experience in writing tests with PHPUnit· Experience in HTML, Javascript, CSS and their libraries· Experience in Javascript frameworks is a plus· Ability to research and adapt new web technologies that add value to the team· Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise· Problem solving and analytical skills· Ability to work independently and integrate well within a team

Preferred requirements· Degree in Computer Science, IT, or similar, or relevant work experience· At least 3 years of experience in web development in various environments and roles· Experience with monitoring and diagnostic tools· Good customer service and research abilities· Upper-intermediate level in English and Russian
