About The Team

The Test Foundations team primarily provides tools and solutions to simplify test writing and maintenance, enhance result observation, and establish a feedback loop. While our team's composition naturally lends itself to a stronger emphasis on quality assurance (QA) activities, we recognize the importance of collaborating across the organization to address testing challenges comprehensively. By working horizontally and engaging with developers, testers, and other teams, our goal is to improve testing practices and contribute to the overall quality of our products.

About The Role

As a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (Operations) at Clari, you will work as the core member of the Test Foundations team on the standardization of testing practices across our organization. This role calls for a hands-on quality assurance engineer with practical experience in front-end or back-end testing and experience in designing, tweaking, and optimizing testing infrastructure and the test-facing part of CI/CD process. We are seeking someone who understands the principles of Quality Assurance and its role in the modern CI/CD process. Your knowledge in containerization, CI/CD, modern testing frameworks, and AWS and Salesforce will play a pivotal role in our continuous effort to enhance product quality and testing efficiency.

This is a hybrid opportunity based in Kraków, Poland. Candidates must be based in Poland.

Responsibilities

Participate in the design and enhancement of CI/CD process and pipelines with focus on streamlining and stability (estimated 30% of time)Proactively engage with various application teams, identifying areas of inefficiency and proposing innovative solutionsMentor and inspire team members, emphasizing the importance of best practices, code optimization, and transformative testing approachesRefactor and improve existing pipeline design in cooperation with development enablement and infrastructure teams to help optimize time to productionEffectively communicate complex technical concepts in a simplified manner, enhancing team collaboration and problem-solving

Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years of experience in software engineering with a focus on testing and testability or automated testing infrastructureDemonstrated experience in designing or refining test infrastructure for frontend or backend projectsProficient in containerization and virtualization using DockerExpertise in CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, CircleCI, or similarKnowledge of AWS and Salesforce is highly desirableExceptional communication skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships across teamsIndependent and driven, with the ability to function in both team and autonomous settings
