This role is fully remote!
In This Role, a Typical Day Will Include:
Legacy Code Refactoring: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand legacy Java codebases, identify areas for improvement, and implement refactoring strategies to enhance performance, maintainability, and scalability.Cloud Integration: Work closely with solution architects to ensure proper integration of Java applications into the Azure cloud ecosystem. Leverage Azure services such as Azure Storage, Azure Cosmos DB, and Azure Service Bus to build robust and scalable solutions.Performance Optimization: Identify bottlenecks and areas for optimization within the Java code and the Azure cloud environment. Implement best practices for performance tuning to ensure optimal application responsiveness and resource utilization.Collaborative Problem Solving: Participate in code reviews, pair programming sessions, and technical discussions to ensure code quality, share knowledge, and collectively solve challenges.Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of code changes, architectural decisions, and development processes. Ensure that knowledge is effectively shared with team members and stakeholders.Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with the latest Java development trends and Azure cloud services. Propose and implement improvements to development processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance overall efficiency and effectiveness.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of experience (or equivalent education and practical experience)Proven professional experience as a Java Developer, with a strong focus on legacy code transformation and modernizationHands-on experience developing applications in the Azure cloud environment, including Azure Function AppsProficiency in Java programming language and related frameworks (Spring, Hibernate, etc.)Familiarity with cloud architecture principles and best practices
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

The likely salary range for this position is $88,000 - $132,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
