You Are
UST is looking for a qualified API developer to ensure quality delivery of end-to-end business solutions and to work with one of the leading healthcare providers in the US. The candidate must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability and collaborate effectively with domain and technical experts in the team. This position is for a full-time, on-site API Developer with 5+ years of professional experience in Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA), Object Oriented Analysis and Design (OOAD), UML, and J2EE Architecture. Developers with published mobile apps will be prioritized.
The Opportunity
Ensure that developer APIs and SDKs are defined to enable effective and timely delivery meeting the requirements of our business, markets, prospects, and customers.Exemplifies the Rush mission, vision, and values and acts in accordance with Rush policies and procedures.Interpret the application, feature, and component designs to develop the same in accordance with specifications.Code, debug, test, document, and communicate product, component, and feature development stages.Validate results with user representatives, integrating and commissioning the overall solution.Select and create appropriate technical options for development such as reusing, improving or reconfiguration existing components while creating your own solutions for new contexts.

What You Need
Experience with HL7 FHIR, SMART On FHIR, and CDS HOOKS is a plus.Experience with oAuth, oAuth2.0Experience with API Gateway and Management platforms such as ApigeeExtensive knowledge of YAML, Swagger, OpenAPI, and Proxy Policies, and completely integrate API Pre and Post Flow using Java and JavaScript.Experience with Microservices development and design patternsExperience with various Design Patterns and hands-on experience in developing SOAP (JAX-WS) and RESTful (JAX-RS) Web Services using Spring Web Service, Apache CXF, Jersey, and AxisStrong experience in using JMS Queue and Topic's for building messaging-related solutions using MDBs.Strong SQL, and Database Programming skills in working with Oracle/IBM UDB/Sybase Databases, Cosmos, and MonogoDB.Ability to exercise independent judgment and creative problem-solving techniques in a highly complex environment using leading-edge technology.Experience with Web Servers like WebLogic/Tomcat and using IDEs like Eclipse, JDeveloper, etc.Experience with Unit Tests using JUnit, build tools Ant/Maven, and continuous integration services is desired.Excellent analytical, comprehension, communication, writing, and interpersonal skills, Innovative in proposing solutions. Experience with one or more agile methodologies, including Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, and eXtreme programming.Experience with backlog management and sprint management leveraging tools, including the Rational Team Center, Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS), or JIRA Familiar with consuming, designing, and developing system integrations with a variety of standards: HL7, FHIR, EDI/X12, HTML5/CSS, SOAP and RESTExperience with XML, XSLT, JSON, or other data formatsFamiliarity with relational & non-relational databases such as CacheExcellent verbal and written communication skills
Compensation can differ depending on factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, education, and level of experience. As required by local law, UST provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in California, Colorado, New York, or Washington as set forth below.
Role Location: Remote
Compensation Range: $84,000-$126,000
Our full-time, regular associates are eligible for 401K matching, and vacation accrual and are covered from day 1 for paid sick time, healthcare, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance benefits. Depending on the role, some associates may also be eligible for stock options.
