A Little About Us:

Under the office of the CTO, the Yahoo Platforms Engineering (YPE) group enables all of the Yahoo verticals to develop and deliver the best possible products to our customers globally with the highest standards. Yahoo’s Platforms Engineering organization creates modern, secure, and efficient software platforms to power all of Yahoo’s brands at scale.

The YPE team is looking for an experienced AI/ML Architect to help guide Yahoo’s transformation into the public cloud. The YPE team provides central platforms and products, governance, security and cloud enablement to all Yahoo business units. The ideal candidate will work closely with all Yahoo business units and AI/ML researchers to provide AI/ML cloud guidance and build new solutions, or enhance existing standards to meet business needs.

Responsibilities:

Work collaboratively with engineers and architects across the organizationEnhance the AI/ML developer productivity tools in a cross functional roleNurture and grow the AI/ML communityHelp determine what Yahoo platforms will best fit in the cloudBuild on existing and create new standards that leverage the AI/ML ecosystemBring your depth of cloud knowledge to helping evaluate and choose the right AI/ML cloud service offeringsEnsure all adopted platforms, either created or a leveraged service, are secure and governedOrchestrate the entire cloud platform environment; including kubernetes and related cloud servicesBe curious about finding the right solutions to problemsEnhance standards and “paved roads” to the benefit of all engineering

The compensation for this position ranges from $160,965.00 - $349,885.00/yr and will vary depending on factors such as your location, skills and experience. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary annual bonus or commissions, in addition to equity incentives.
