Job Description:Oestergaard A/S is currently in search of a full-time Junior BI Developer to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with our team, turning complex data into clear insights to help guide our business decisions. You will be expected to have hands-on experience with Power BI and SQL, with a mindset focused on continuous learning.
Responsibilities:Data Integration & Transformation:Assist in the ELT/ETL of data from various sources using BI tools and SQL scripts.Using SQL for effective data manipulation and analysis.Ensure data consistency, accuracy, and integrity during the integration process.Report & Dashboard Development:Develop and maintain interactive BI dashboards and reports using tools like Power BI, Tableau, or similar. (Preferably Power BI)Collaborate with business units to understand their requirements and tailor reports accordingly.Datawarehouse Management:Assist in the design and maintenance of BI databases, data warehouses, and data marts.Write and optimize SQL queries for data retrieval.Data Modeling:Support in creating conceptual, logical, and physical data models to ensure that data is structured in a way that's optimal for reporting and analytics.Documentation & Best Practices:Document ETL/ELT processes, data models, and reporting assets to ensure clarity and maintainability.Keep abreast of industry best practices and trends in BI development and suggest improvements when necessary.Quality Assurance:Test and validate BI solutions to ensure accuracy, performance, and usability.Work closely with the data quality team to address and resolve any data discrepancies or issues.Training & Support:Provide support to end-users, helping them understand BI tools and reportsContinually learning and staying updated with industry trends and advancementsCollaboration:Work closely with other data team members, including data engineers, data architects and BI developers to deliver holistic BI solutions.Liaise with Business Analysts to ensure that BI solutions align with both technical constraints and business needs.
Requirements: 3+ years of relevant work experience in data analytics or a related fieldProficiency in Power BI and SQLExperience in Data WarehousingA natural curiosity and a "can-do" attitudeStrong analytical skills and attention to detailExcellent communication skills
Preferred Skills:Previous work experience with dbt and PythonA bachelor's degree or higher in a related field is a plus
