A client of Scalable Path's is looking for a Full-Stack Python Developer with Alpine.js experience. This is a remote, full-time position.
CLIENT COMPANY DESCRIPTION:The client is a leading US lighting and electrical supply e-commerce company with cutting edge, innovative products. They are stable and have been profitable for 10 years, investing heavily in growth and expansion.
OVERVIEW:The client is a tech-enabled e-commerce company building out their internal web application with proprietary tooling and a broad range of features for our employees and partners. The are operating at a large scale and have outgrown the existing e-commerce tools in the market and so they are building their own so that they can operate at top efficiency.
The responsibilities of the role are mostly back-end (Python/Django/Postgres/AWS) with minimal front-end (HTMX, Alpine.js, Tailwind CSS). No React is required. The are looking for a developer who can take ownership of tasks and operate autonomously without needing a lot of management. This means being able to deliver quality work and not need too much direction, management or external QA.
They use Asana for task management and MS Teams for communication.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:- Build and ship high-quality features autonomously and efficiently- Attend brief daily standups for team alignment and blocker resolution- Understand and address user pain points- Conduct code reviews for team members- Debug and troubleshoot software issues.- Suggest improvements for code base and architecture.
RELATIONSHIPS - WHO YOU'LL BE WORKING WITH:You will be working with 2-4 other software engineers and the E-Commerce Director.
There is an existing daily meeting at 9:30 am Pacific Standard Time (PST).
START DATE: As soon as possible.
EXPECTED CONTRACT DURATION: 12+ months.This is a long-term postion.
PREFERRED REGIONS:The client's preference is for candidates to be located in Latin America or Europe.
