Primary Responsibilities:Migrate critical schemas from Oracle ODA hardware located at Singapore to Oracle ODA hardware located at San FranciscoMigrate globally used APEX applications from Singapore ODA hardware to San Francisco ODA hardwareAssist in any activities required to decommission the Singapore Oracle databaseAssist in assessing latency issues with Oracle schemas migrated from Singapore to San FranciscoParticipate in migration of Oracle schemas to AWS

Database Support Responsibilities:Support multiple servers and multiple databases of medium to high complexity (complexity defined by database size, technology, transaction velocity and volume, system feeds and interfaces) with multiple concurrent users, ensuring control, integrity and accessibility of the data.Support replicationSupport production Oracle APEX applicationsTroubleshoot and remediate performance and capacity issuesMonitor, tune, analyze performance metrics, and allocate database resources to achieve optimum database performance.Manage the implementation of database upgrades and migrations.

Required Skills:Expert in popular DB engines (Oracle, SQL Server)Oracle expertise in the following: Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, Oracle Database 13c+, ASM, DataGuard, Exadata, ODA, Golden Gate, RMANStrong experience with disaster recovery implementation using DataGuard and GoldenGateDatabase development tools: Toad, SQL Plus, SQL Developer, PL/SQLAdvanced performance tuning skills for both DBs and application queriesExpert in automating routine db backups and restores on demandUNIX/Linux administration, shell scripting, troubleshooting, performance tuning, & securityExpertise in leveraging AWS RDS or equivalent cloud DB PaaS (e.g. Azure, Google)Experience with Cloud/PaaS Environments (e.g. AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Compute)
