We are actively seeking a Database Developer based in Sterling, VA. This is a full time, remote opportunity.. This position requires a Customs Border Protection Background Investigation.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the Puyenpa team supporting the Department of Homeland Security DAC-TER Customs Border Protection program. The main responsibilities of the role include:Work with a team of physicists, analysts, and software developers to support homeland security operations.Design, create, and manage tables in AWS Cloud to facilitate data analysis, reporting, application development, and cloud migration efforts.Write performative queries and stored procedures to work with large data sets.
The qualified candidate will have the following knowledge and experience:5 years of database development experience.3 years of AWS Cloud database experience (Redshift, RDS/Postgresql, S3).Proficiency in SQL with ability to write complex queries and other features.Education: B.S. degree in IT or related field.
Preferred qualifications:Python programming experience using SQL toolkit libraries preferred.Experience with migration from on-premises databases to AWS Cloud is a plus.
