Java Senior Developer

What You'll Get To Do

Design, develop, test, and deliver high-quality applications in Java technologies.Identification of customer requirementsLiaising with customers, users, IT departments and managers.Providing support for live systems (where required by the customer to include out of hours support).Create and maintain detailed technical and non-technical documentation includes, solutions, deployment guides and release notes. Providing technical advice to junior staff.

Skills And Experience We Value

Strong knowledge and working experience developing applications using Java, Java EE, and related technologies. (minimum 2 years in a professional capacity)Experience in Spring Framework (Spring boot, Spring MVC, Security) Experience and working knowledge of SQL, Relational databases & ORM frameworks (e.g. Hibernate)Experience with version control (e.g. GitHub) and build tools (Maven / Gradle)Knowledge of micro services architecture and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.Working knowledge in AWS or any cloud environment is a plus.Experience working with Application Server Tomcat/WebLogic is attractive.Knowledge of Oracle Forms, PLSQL, Oracle Reports is attractive.Experience of BI Publisher development is attractive.Degree or proven experience in programming.Experience of agile and iterative methodologiesThe ability to write reports for clients and to make effective presentations to clients and Ceridian personnel.Ability to provide technical design skills.Capability to keep up with latest trends and to be able to objectively recommend.Ability to write solution designs, functional documentation, and unit test plans.Strong communication & communication skills.Relevant certifications in Java development a plus.
