Role Description

This is a remote contract role for an IBM Cloud Pak Developer at Paravyoma Technologies. The IBM Cloud Pak Developer will be responsible for developing and implementing solutions using IBM Cloud Pak, providing technical support and guidance to clients, resolving issues and troubleshooting, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver optimal results.

Responsibilities

·Developing and deploying the Cloud Pak with high-quality and compliant code.Debugging issues and vulnerabilities that are associated with the code.·Automating processes to avoid repetitive and menial work.Standardizing processes by peer-reviewing and documenting work.Modernizing legacy applications

Qualifications

Strong proficiency in IBM Cloud Pak Development and associated toolsExperience with container technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, and HelmExperience with microservices architectures, cloud-native design principles, and DevOps practicesExcellent knowledge of programming languages such as Java or Python, and experience with web technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScriptExperience with Agile methodologies, including Scrum and KanbanStrong problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot issuesExcellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide technical support to clientsBachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experienceIBM Cloud Pak certification or equivalent is a plusExperience with IBM Cloud, AWS, or Azure is a plusExperience with containerized application development, cloud security, and hybrid cloud solutions is a plus

Experience

Ability to learn new technologies quicklyMinimum 3 years in development and system integrationMinimum 3 years experience with Java and Java-based technologiesMinimum 2 years design and development experience with IBM Business Process ManagerMinimum 2 years of XML, HTML, CSS, JavaScript libraries like Dojo, jQueryExperience with Oracle database systems and DB2.Solid understanding of all parts of Software Engineering (e.g. Requirements, Design, Implementation, Testing) and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).Experience working in agile or iterative SDLCs.
