The Role:

Our company is seeking an experienced and motivated Principal Software Engineer to lead the development and delivery of a data processing, visualization, and reporting platform. As a Principal Software Engineer, you will be responsible for leading a team of software engineers and database specialists to design and develop our solutions and ensure the quality and performance of our products.

Your mission at Irdeto:

Lead the development and delivery of software products in collaboration with cross-functional teams. Guide and mentor a team of software engineers, providing guidance and coaching as needed. Participate in code reviews and ensure code quality, scalability, and maintainability. Develop software solutions that meet customer requirements and industry standards. Examine data-processing workflows and deal with data inconsistencies. Collaborate with other teams such as product management and user experience to ensure that software solutions align with business needs. Research and evaluate emerging technologies to ensure that our software solutions remain competitive and innovative. Monitor software performance and make recommendations for improvements as needed, Drive best practices for software development and ensure that they are followed by the team. Communicate effectively with stakeholders, both technical and non-technical, to explain technical concepts and provide updates on development progress.

How you can add value to the team:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent experience. 8+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on full-stack development and architecture design. Strong knowledge of software and database development best practices and methodologies. Experience managing and mentoring a team of software engineers. Strong coding skills in multiple programming languages, such as Python, Java, and JavaScript or others. Experience in data processing, data visualization, database management, and data warehousing systems (any technology) Experience with cloud-based platforms such as AWS or Azure for both application infrastructure and data processing Experience with agile development methodologies and tools such as JIRA or Agile Central. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
