PHP Developer

QAT Global, a 25+ years IT consulting firm based in the US, is seeking a highly-skilled PHP Developer with the ability to communicate well in English. This position will work directly with the customer located in the US and with development teams in our US, Costa Rica, and Brazil locations.This opportunity can be 100% remoteOnly hiring QAT Employees (CLT only in Brazil)

ResponsibilitiesWork with a team of dedicated developers in the maintenance and enhancement of an application entrenched in legacy code.Dive fearlessly into the depths of complex code to identify issues, streamline processes, and improve overall system performance.Work with effective strategies for ongoing application maintenance, ensuring that the codebase is resilient, scalable, and compliant with industry standards.Work with a team that fosters collaboration and actively contributes to problem-solving and shares insights on code improvement.

Required ExperienceMinimum 2 Years of PHP Development. Including understanding of PHP frameworks and best practices.Proficiency in MySQL for effective database management.Solid understanding and practical experience with JavaScript for frontend development.Experience with Node.js is a significant advantage.Ability to adapt to varying coding styles and conventions, with a willingness to work with and improve existing legacy code.Strong communication skills

Preferred ExperienceBS/MS in Systems Analysis and Development, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent
