Join our Product Experience team as we look to build and provide world class mobile applications to our customers across the globe. This role would work closely with the platform teams as well as the product experience design systems and other cross-functional engineering teams to set the direction of the mobile applications at Splunk.
What you will do
Splunk’s Mobile Engineering team is looking for a Principal mobile developer to build innovative products that allow our customers to bolster enterprise resilience by simply and securely accessing their data wherever they go. In this role, you will be responsible for working with cross functional partners to build the long term strategy for the Splunk Mobile Applications. Additionally you will act as the technical leader for the team and the future roadmap and strategy of the mobile applications. You will be responsible for identifying and defining areas of improvement and work with partner teams to put plans in place to address these improvements.
In this role you will
Mentor and lead other mobile engineersSet the direction for the architecture and roadmap of the Splunk mobile applicationsCollaborate with a multi-functional team of product managers, designers and senior engineers to design and implement new features within the applicationsBuild increasingly complex app components and take an app through the entire SDLC, including fixing bugs and improving performanceParticipate in peer code reviews, and help improve code quality over time
What you will need
12+ years of experience working with mobile application development Proven track record of leading mobile development engineering teamsExpertise in building native mobile application for Android and/or iOS Proven track record of development Objective-C, Swift, Java for mobile or KotlinExperience with deployment and publishing to Apple Store or Google Play StoreStrong experience in building native mobile (iOS or Android) applications with an emphasis on performance and robustnessExperience in mobile instrumentation and analytics, mobile app lifecycleExperience collaborating with design and cross functional engineering teams to make the complex simple for the userStrong communication skills, both verbal and writtenFamiliarity with Protobuf and gRPC
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Software development experience in one or more general-purpose programming languages; Java, Python, Go, Rust, C++ is a plusAdditional knowledge around GraphQL, REST, HTTP basics, and the ability to design maintainable APIs is a plus.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent training and work experience.

Base Pay Range
Poland
Base Pay PLN 304,000.00 - 418,000.00 per year
Splunk provides flexibility and choice in the working arrangement for most roles, including remote and/or in-office roles. We have a market-based pay structure which varies by location. Please note that the base pay range is a guideline and for candidates who receive an offer, the base pay will vary based on factors such as work location as set out above, as well as the knowledge, skills and experience of the candidate. In addition to base pay, this role is eligible for incentive compensation and may be eligible for equity or long-term cash awards.
