Must have:
• 4-6 years of experience in the middleware tier such as UNIX/Linux and application support.• Must have strong team focus and client service work ethic.• Knowledge of web and application servers and their configuration.• Strong working/troubleshooting experiences on LINUX/UNIX OS.• Experience with JDBC, JMS, MQ and integration of multiple messaging service.• Working knowledge of java, JSP, EJB, XML, web services.• Experience with Ant, Code Management, Jenkins is a plus.• Agile methodology experience is a plus.• Strong experience in shell/Perl scripting.• Ability to work independently and resolve complex technical issues and identify root cause and recommend solutions to help resolve incidents quickly.• Ability to multi-task and complete multiple parallel assignments while working in an interrupt driven environment.• Take the initiative to act on and own issues.
Role and responsibilities:
▪ Ability to tune and debug Java Virtual Machines.▪ Possess a thorough understanding of JDBC connections and configuration of JDBC parameters.▪ Possess a thorough understanding of JBoss Middleware and can configure and debug it.▪ Possess advanced Unix shell scripting abilities.▪ Ability to install, configure and debug JBoss, Tomcat, and Apache server.▪ Capable of creating and handling JAVA messaging and bridges.▪ Capable of monitoring and troubleshooting JBoss Middleware, third party application servers, and other web services manually.▪ Possess a thorough understanding of authentication systems (LDAP, AD, OID) and can configure applications to use them.• Work with the Team Lead and technical team members to support development and implementation activities• Will have to support some weekend release implementations and provide off-hour communication as required.
Nice-to-have:• Experience in webservers like Jboss, Apache, tomcat, IIS a plus.
Required profile:
As a Java Platform Administrator, you will work with other groups in the IT department to support all web-based applications visible and used both inside and outside the company.The Java Platform Admin will serve driving in technology and new initiatives as best fit for a environment, develop and communicate plans and expectations for the support of the web server infrastructure, and monitor and provide continual feedback to management regarding system performance, project updates, etc.
Mandatory:• Certification: Red Hat Certified JBoss Administrator (RHCJA)
Technical skills:
4+ years Unix/Linux System Administration experience (RHEL)▪ 4+ Experience engineering Java apps infrastructure.▪ 4+ Experience administering JBOSS, Tomcat, WebSphere and Weblogic application servers.▪ 4+ Experience administering Web Servers(Apache and IHS) and messaging(JMS)
