Backend Engineer (6-Month Contract, Immediate Start)

We’ve doubled in size over the last four years, and we have ambitious plans moving forward It’s very exciting! To continue in our growth, we are recruiting a Backend Python Developer for a six-month period.

What you’ll be doing:

As a Backend Python Developer, you will be responsible for advancing our SaaS software product, incorporating a tech stack that includes AWS, Athena, Postgres, Python, and Temporal. This evolution calls for a Backend Engineer who can independently and rapidly tackle specific technical challenges within this framework. This role can be fully remote, but candidates in London are welcome to come into the office.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver high-quality, well-tested Python code efficiently and promptly, in line with our product evolution goals.Ensure code cleanliness and maintainability, contributing to the reliability of our evolving SaaS product.Collaborate with team members to identify and resolve issues, focusing on the enhancement of our product.Comfortable working with Docker for containerisation and deployment

Required Skills and Attributes:

Demonstrated expertise in Python programming, including writing efficient, clean, and well-documented code.Self-motivated and able to execute technical tasks quickly and independently.Experience in SaaS product development, particularly in a fast-evolving environment.Effective communication and teamwork skills, essential for collaborative problem-solving.

Nice to have:

Experience in orchestrating workflows, especially in a distributed system environment.Familiarity with MLOps principles and practices, and their application in a production setting.
