Opportunity Overview

SD Solutions is seeking a Senior Full Stack Java Engineer to join our team supporting Digital Modernization program to provide agile technical delivery activities and are responsible for crafting technical strategy with our larger technical team. This position is remote.

Responsibilities IncludeResponsible for designing, developing, and deploying modern Java web applications iteratively in the AWS environment using DevSecOps ToolsUse of Object Oriented or Functional ProgrammingWell able to function in a Test-Driven Development environmentWork in Pair ProgrammingWork with Cloud Technologies (AWS, etc.)Work in a JVM based environment with the technologies listed below in requirementsRequirements Overview

BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent work experience in related area with at least 5 years of software engineering experienceStrong programming skills with Java (5+)Experience with Spring Framework (Core, Boot, Data), JavaScript, ReactJS, Redux, Python,Experience working with container-based technology such as DockerExperience working with Configuration Management/Automation technologies such as Cloud Formation, Terraform, Ansible, etc.Experience with Python, EKS, Helm is preferredExperience working in Agile Development environments (Scrum, SAFe)At least 3+ years of experience working in AWS environmentExperience working in cloud native systemsExperience with DevOps / DevSecOpsExperience implementing modern web applicationsExperience with teams of technologists of varying backgrounds and levels of experienceExperience managing end-to-end delivery, from UX design to production release.Experience working within a Continuous Delivery Patterns and PracticesExperienced operationalizing, monitoring, and maintaining distributed systems
