We are seeking a hands-on Software Architect that shares our passion and excitement for operating distributed systems at hyper scale using cloud native best practices. You will be responsible for, and lead efforts in, designing and building scalable, distributed, and resilient software components and services to support our healthcare platform. Specifically, you will be responsible for leading the design of Oracle Health’s identity and access management platform. We believe in ownership and expect you to think long term, mentor, and empower other engineers. This position assumes a background in identity and access management concepts and system design. Specific tools and technologies may include Java, JavaScript, OAuth, OpenID Connect, SAML, and SCIM. Demonstrated understanding of cloud native architecture and experience with either AWS or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is strongly desired. Additionally, experience with one or more of the following is beneficial: single-page application architecture, attribute-based access control systems, Oracle Virtual Private Database, NIST special publication 800-63, OWASP Cheat Sheet Series, HITRUST. Identity and Access Management (IAM) Engineering is building a next generation health care platform using cloud native solutions to provide a secure and superior user experience. IAM Engineering is responsible for R&D, focusing on leveraging open standards and interoperable technologies to make the infrastructure as agile and adaptable as possible. This organization focuses on the crucial topics of identity and security. This includes how to identify people, devices, applications, and systems; how to secure communication between system components; how to enforce access control policy; how to audit actions taken within the system. BS or MS degree in computer science, or equivalent 10+ years of developing and shipping enterprise distributed and/or cloud native systems Strong grasp of system design fundamentals and distributed systems architectural best practices Demonstrated ability to influence full system architecture Strong desire to make an impact and thrive in collaborative and energetic environments Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts verbally and through design aspects
