Who we are looking for:As our eCommerce Developer for the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), you will collaborate closely with product managers, data, software, and test engineers to develop, customize, and maintain our cutting-edge Adobe Commerce-based e-commerce platform. This solution integrates into our Oracle Financial Cloud ERP providing a seamless experience for customers and stakeholders. The successful hire will be responsible for ensuring best platform practices are adhered to and effectively works to improve overall engineering practices.

What you will doDesign, develop, maintain, enhance, and document code for the internally customized Adobe Commerce platformProvide architectural solutions/designs and ensuring ease of maintenance and reliability of customizationsPerform code reviews and manage code deploymentIntegrate data with third party vendors, and internally to our ERP management system (Oracle Financial Cloud)Practice and be a proponent of Agile software development by working with our product team and stakeholdersDemonstrate software quality through unit and integration test automation including identifying, communicating, and managing riskManage updates and upgrades of the various environmentsAssist other technical staff when necessary to promote a collaborative environmentWork with the internal teams to grow and stay connected to the Adobe Commerce ecosystemWork with internal and external parties to ensure any custom development is high quality and sufficiently re-usableProvide guidance in the build versus buy decision making for the new features and functionality requested by the product owner
Required Education and ExperienceBachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering or related field or equivalent experience5+ years of hands-on development experienceDeep understanding of Adobe architecture, design, theming, functional enhancements, optimization & integration methodsExperience using PHP, MySQLFamiliarity with HTML5, CSS3, SASS, Bootstrap, JavaScript, jQuery, Angular, React or other JS frameworksKnowledge of Web TechnologiesProficient with cloud-based technologies and serverless computing models (AWS preferred)Experience with theming in Adobe Commerce including layout files, creating new page layouts, creating, and editing template files, CSS and JavaScriptExperience with writing new custom extensions, extend core functionality and installing third party extensionsUsage of Git and GitHub software repository, and ability to create and push branches
Preferred Education and ExperienceExperience with domain-driven architectures and test-driven developmentExperience with Continuous Delivery modelsExperience with Agile methodologies including the ability to work in sprintsPrior Open-Source Contribution is a big plusHands-on experience with GraphQL services, resolvers and schemas using AWS AppSync (VTL Scripts) and/or Apollo
