Job Title: Senior Magento 2 API DeveloperJob Summary:We are looking for an experienced Senior Magento 2 API Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate should possess a strong background in Magento 2 API development and other open-source frameworks, majorly PHP frameworks. As an API Developer, your primary responsibilities will include designing, implementing, testing, and maintaining APIs to support various business processes and integrations.What You'll Be Doing at Oneglobal:➢ Building cutting-edge and innovative extensions using exclusive tools and technologies.➢ Developing multi-channel integration and contributing to the establishment of a headless architecture on Magento B2B projects.➢ Involvement in Mobility and Backend development.Key Responsibilities:API Development:➢ Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable APIs within the Magento 2 platform.➢ Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including front-end and back-end developers, and system architects to seamlessly integrate APIs into the overall system architecture.➢ Ensure high performance, responsiveness, and reliability of APIs.➢ Utilize PHP frameworks (e.g., Laravel, Symfony) for efficient API development.➢ Build APIs that integrate with all majors ERP, CRM, and other systemsIntegration:➢ Work closely with third-party systems, external APIs, and other integrations to establish seamless communication with the Magento 2 platform.➢ Implement data synchronisation and communication protocols between Magento 2 and external systems.Customization and Extension:➢ Customize and extend existing Magento 2 APIs based on business requirements.➢ Implement new features and functionalities within the Magento 2 API framework.Testing and Debugging:➢ Conduct thorough testing of APIs to ensure functionality, performance, and security.➢ Debug and resolve issues identified during testing or reported by stakeholders.Documentation:➢ Create and maintain comprehensive API documentation, including usage guidelines, best practices, and troubleshooting procedures.➢ Keep documentation up-to-date with any changes or enhancements to the APIs.Security and Compliance:➢ Implement security best practices to ensure the integrity and confidentiality of data transmitted through APIs.➢ Stay informed about Magento 2 security updates and implement necessary patches and enhancements.Collaboration and Communication:➢ Collaborate with other developers, team members, and stakeholders to understand requirements and provide technical solutions.➢ Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical team members.Qualifications:➢ Minimum of 5 years of proven experience as a Magento 2 API Developer (or) in a similar role.➢ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, (or) a related field.➢ Proficient in PHP and Magento 2 development.➢ Strong understanding of RESTful API design principles.➢ Experience with third-party API integrations.➢ Familiarity with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript & other front-end frameworks) is a plus.➢ Experience with PHP frameworks (e.g., Laravel, Symfony) is highly desirable.➢ Expert PHP and Object Oriented Programming skills➢ Ability to articulate the Omni-channel end-to-end commerce value proposition➢ Strong integration and architectural knowledge of the Magento platform➢ Experience with third-party API integration, including biller services, payment gateways, shipping, etc.➢ Experience with the complete eCommerce lifecycle development.➢ Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Preferred Skills:➢ Magento 2 certification(s) is a plus.➢ Experience with version control systems (Git).➢ Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.➢ Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).➢ Candidate with a fintech industry background.
