The Opportunity
Must haves
Excellent programming and debugging skills in C# and JavaScript. Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript and web development frameworks (jQuery). Experience with ASP.NET, ASP.NET Framework (4.x) Experience with Microsoft Entity Framework. Experience in Object Oriented Programming and MVC design patterns. Comfortable working in an agile, fast paced environment to deliver high-quality work. Working in a project team alongside other developers. Familiarity with Relational Databases, especially Microsoft SQL Server. Ability to write complex SQL queries. Comfortable working with SQL Server triggers, functions and stored procedures. Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio. Experience with Git (source code control). Ability to properly handle extremely confidential and sensitive information. Ability to work independently with minimal daily management.
Nice to haves
Experience with REST API's testing tools such as Insomnia. Experience with Jira, or other such tools. Hands-on with protocols and data formats such as REST, JSON and XML. Experience with ORM frameworks such as Dapper. Experience with the Kendo UI framework from Telerik Experience with Web services development (SOAP, REST). Ability to use LINQ
What You'll Be Working On
You will be working alongside other developers on a large web site used in the retail and manufacturing industry. It provides functions for quoting & invoicing as well as providing information needed for the manufacturing of a variety of custom products.
You will be working on many areas of the site, from the user-interface to backend processing and updating the database structure. You will be responsible for implementing, coding and testing new features as well as working on existing code, whether it be updating an existing feature or finding and fixing outstanding bugs.
Initial responsibilities will be working on user-interface tweaks, fixing bugs and assisting with the migration of back-end business logic from a previous version of the site.
Collaboration with other developers on a day-to-day basis is the norm. We use Microsoft Teams to communicate with each other. We encourage questions and discussions about assignments.
