Back End Developer

OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Python Back-End Developer to join our team. You will play a crucial role in leading the technical aspects of our organization. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining a secure API in Python, with a strong focus on security.The ideal candidate will be highly independent, with at least 10 year experience, and possess a master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field. Experience in SAAS business is a plus. This is a full remote position with occasional travel.

ResponsabilitiesDevelop and maintain a highly secure API in Python, implementing encryption at rest, end-to-end encryption, and other security measures related to authentication (SAML, SSO, oAuth2, passwordless, etc.).Ensuring scalability, reliability, and high performance.Improve the CI/CD processes to enable seamless and efficient development, testing, and deployment workflows, fostering a culture of continuous integration and continuous delivery.Integrate with external providers, such as AWS Secret Manager, to synchronize secrets and ensure the highest level of security.Implement features like rotating secrets and generating dynamic new secrets to enhance security and protect sensitive data.Implement the self-hosting feature of Watsh, allowing users to host their own instances of the platform.Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in technology, evaluating and implementing new tools and frameworks to drive innovation and efficiency.

QualificationsMaster's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related fieldMinimum of 10+ years of experience in a similar role, with a proven track record of developing and maintaining secure APIs.Experience with version control systems, such as GitStrong expertise in Python programming language and its related frameworks.Extensive knowledge of encryption techniques, security protocols, and best practices.Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.Experience in SAAS business (optional).Experience with secrets management systems (optional).
