Our client, a worldwide media & entertainment company is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join the Subscriber Environment and Entitlements team within their Services and Data Engineering organization. The Subscriber Environment and Entitlements team's mission is to build highly available, high throughput services that are critical to delivering high quality content to our subscribers. Responsibilities:Work with a distributed team of engineers building software in a collaborative development processBuild high-performance, stable, scalable systems to be deployed in an enterprise settingLead high-level architecture discussions and planning sessionsParticipate in the code review process by providing feedback on pull requestsParticipate in the on-call rotation, supporting systems and services during production incidentsAuthor and provide feedback on technical proposals and root cause analysesProvide mentoring and advice for other engineersEstablish engineering best practices and standards within the team to drive quality and excellenceContribute to the company's technical community through presentations, tech talks, and other knowledge-sharing effortsRequired Skills:Experience delivering backend applications in a production environmentExpertise in functional programming and ScalaExcellent written and verbal communication skillsExperience building RESTful servicesUnderstanding of async programming models (events, callbacks, promises, async/await) and threading/concurrency
of source control concepts and exposure to GitSelf-learner, independent, excellent problem-solving skillsExperience with build and deployment technologies such as Jenkins and DockerExperience working with AWS
