Mid / Senior Frontend Developer

At Tagvenue, events online marketplace, we are a team of energetic, self-driven and positive individuals. We’re building the world’s largest and most innovative venue-booking platform. We launched in mid-2015, and within a short period, we achieved a market leader position in the UK, Australia, Singapore, Canada and we’re expanding fast in the US. Our site gets upwards of 400 000 monthly website visitors and we’re looking for a leader to help us cross the 1 000 000 monthly website visitors milestone within 2 years.

ABOUT THE ROLEWorking closely with the whole company to deliver the best product solutionsCreating user interfaces for a variety of use cases, from SEO pages, user panels to internal toolsBuilding and improving our Design System of reusable UI components using Tailwind, Twig, SCSS and Vue.jsEnsuring great performance and even better UXImplementing AB tests and collecting user metricsEnsuring everything looks great across devices in the latest browsersTaking part in scaling the app for new markets and high volumes, optimizing front-end applications for our users from New York to SydneyCreating quality software backed by automated tests

OUR TECH STACKFrontend: Vue, Tailwind, SCSS, jQuery, Jest, PuppeteerBackend: PHP, Laravel, Twig, MySQL, Redis, ElasticsearchInfrastructure: Fastly CDN, Nginx, Elasticsearch/Fluentd/Kibana + Grafana stack for monitoring, Docker, Terraform, multiple AWS services for test instances, PHPUnit & Jest for tests

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEEDIn-depth HTML, CSS, and JavaScript skills with 3+ years of experienceGood knowledge of Vue.js or other modern JS frameworkStrong skills in applying front-end best practices (e.g. responsive web design, progressive enhancement, SEO, UX, usability)Solid knowledge of browser’s dev tools and the ability to make use of themStrong communication skills in EnglishConstant learner mindset with a passion for IT, actively acquiring new knowledge, and being up to date with the latest state-of-the-art software industry know-how
