Lead .NET Developer (Remote)

Job Title: .Net Lead Developer (AMNLD129) - Full-timeClient: Intact InsuranceLocation: Mississauga, Canada (Remote) We are seeking a skilled and experienced .Net Lead Developer to join our team at Intact Insurance, a leading organization in the insurance industry. As a key member of our technology team, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining robust applications that leverage your expertise in C, C#.Net, NetCore, and RESTful API technologies. This is a full-time position, and the successful candidate will work remotely with the option to be based in our Mississauga office. Key Responsibilities: Application Development: Utilize your strong skills in C, C#.Net, and NetCore to develop scalable and efficient applications. Implement RESTful APIs for seamless communication between various components.Cloud Integration: Build scalable Windows services and Web APIs in Azure, leveraging docker container technologies. Design solutions to handle highly variable data structures in a concurrent cloud environment.Security and Encryption: Collaborate closely with Architecture and Security teams to ensure data is encrypted and securely transferred. Utilize existing API Gateways and Okta Authentication for enhanced security.Microservices Architecture: Develop microservices to provide abstraction for data ingestion processes, facilitating efficient information handling.Metadata Management: Retain metadata for tracking execution details, ensuring reproducibility, and providing operational metrics for continuous improvement.Collaboration and Planning: Work closely with Extraction and Normalization teams to plan new features and define requirements for the system to support the ingestion and normalization of data assets.Team Collaboration: Collaborate with technology teams to understand processes and policies, contributing to the achievement of team goals.Scripting and Database Management: Utilize your experience writing scripts, including PowerShell. Demonstrate a good understanding of Microsoft SQL Server and familiarity with NoSQL databases would be a significant advantage.Low-Level Backend Programming: Showcase expertise in low-level backend programming, including efficient network communication, building reliable Windows and Linux services, and utilizing streaming, compression, and common column-oriented data storage formats for managing data transfers. Qualifications: · Proven experience as a Lead Developer in a .Net environment.· Strong proficiency in C, C#.Net, NetCore, and RESTful API development.· Experience with Azure, Docker, and cloud-based technologies.· Knowledge of security protocols and encryption practices.· Familiarity with microservices architecture and metadata management.· Proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server; experience with NoSQL databases is a plus.· Excellent communication and collaboration skills.· Ability to work remotely and effectively contribute to a distributed team.
