Python Django Developer

This is a remote position.

Our focus is on developing the very best mobile and web applications and building long-term relationships with our clients. We are currently looking for a Python/Django Developer to add to our growing team.

Work Schedule: Mondays to Fridays; WFH Flexi-Shift with a 4-hour overlap with the client. [No Graveyard Shifts]

Description:

This position will contribute to various initiatives including service integration with emerging frameworks and platforms and assist with the technical resolution of issues while coming up with solutions that are scalable, secure, easy to maintain, and interact with numerous other services.

You’ll be working with complex data models, external-facing APIs, processing high volumes of data consumed by multiple backend services, and laying the groundwork for a new Cloud-based servicing product unlike anything on the current market!

Understanding cloud services like Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud is not required but will be an additional benefit.

Job Responsibilities:

Design and participate in the development of multiple concurrent back ends and server-side software development projects Solve and implement difficult technology challenges and assist the team to successful deliveryEnsure long term software quality, scalability, and maintainability Implement software development best practices on topics such as code structure, automated testing, and documentation Assist with technical resolution of issues on production and development systems

Requirements

Ideal candidates will have the following qualifications:

4+ years of job experience in developing and maintaining web applications and/or API services using Django and Python.Experience with NodeUnderstanding of the full stack of the application and experience with HTML/CSS/JSGood understanding of Postgres, SQL/NoSQL, and their language constructs.Extensive understanding of web application best practices and Git development flowUnderstanding of cloud services such as AWS, GCP, and AzureStrong skills in building modular software with object-oriented design patternsParticipate in rapid prototyping and application coding and debuggingStrong knowledge of solutions to common web exploits.Well-versed with code versioning toolsDetermine appropriate architecture for new projectsExcellent communicator who is passionate about quality, supportability, extensibility, and scalable application designAbility to coordinate with an extended design team. Will be required to ensure that the design and implementation work well in the context of the entire system and product strategyPerform unit, functional and cross-browser testingMentor junior web developersAn understanding of what it means to wear different hats in a small, dynamic team environment, and a willingness to jump in and help wherever needed Practical experience working in an Agile/SCRUM development environment, with an understanding of what works and what doesn't in a professional-services setting
