Back End Developer

Role Responsibilities:● Design and implement robust, secure, and efficient AWS solutions, including APIs,databases, and server-side logic● Work closely with product managers and CTO to understand our customers needs andthe design decisions of the product● Optimize our backend code for performance and scale● Work closely with frontend engineers to define APIs● Rapidly iterating on the product with our home data collection team to optimize theprocess of collecting and digitizing home data● Guiding the team in making intelligent and pragmatic technical trade-offs● Becoming an expert on the home inspection and new homeowner move-in process, andbuilding a product that simplifies this transition for millions of new homeowners eachyear

Experience Level of a Successful Candidate:● 5+ years of AWS serverless hands-on development and architecture experienceimplementing Lambda, API Gateway, Step Functions, EventBridge, DynamoDB,OpenSearch, etc.● Excellent knowledge of Node.js and TypeScript● AWS CDK and Serverless framework● Proficiency with microservices and event driven architecture● Experience in designing and developing RESTful APIs● API Documentation: OpenAPI● Proven experience in product-oriented software development● Proficiency in different types of testing strategies● Experience with Continuous Integration Continuous Deployment (CI/CD)● The initiative to fix something that's broken, rather than waiting for someone else to do it● Strong written and spoken communication skills (in English)
