Apply Today If Your Background Includes:6-10 years of experience in software development, data engineering, or a related field.Profound understanding of data connectivity principles and protocols, encompassing REST APIs, ODBC, JDBC, and web scraping techniquesProficiency in programming languages like Groovy, SQL, Python, Java, or C#, coupled with experience in web development frameworks like Django or SpringCompetence in utilizing version control systems, such as GitFamiliarity with data cataloging platforms and technologies, including Alation, Data Lakehouse platforms, and semantic search enginesExceptional problem-solving and analytical skills, with a knack for resolving intricate data connectivity challengesEffective communication and collaboration skills, with the capability to function independently and as an integral part of a cross-functional team

RESPONSIBILITIES:Designing and crafting custom connectors using Alation's OCF Java SDK to facilitate metadata import into the data catalog platformCollaborating closely with data engineers and data architects to comprehend data source requirements and specificationsArchitecting and providing solutions for bespoke integration requirementsStreamlining cataloging processes and enhancing efficiency by developing catalog management scriptsDiagnosing and resolving connectivity issues to ensure smooth data ingestion and synchronizationUpholding coding standards and best practices to guarantee code quality, maintainability, and scalabilityOffering technical support and guidance to catalog users and integrated application teams.Staying informed about emerging technologies and trends in data connectivity and catalog management
