POSITION SUMMARY As a Power BI Developer you will delve into intricate datasets, employing analytical skills to interpret data. This is a 1099 Independent Contractor position.This will start as a part time position with the potential to eventually become full time, hours will range from 10-20 hours per week to start.For candidates who meet the minimum qualifications, the pay rate will start at $80/hr.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Design, publish and maintain Power BI data models with interrelated tables connectedImplementing a data model that works seamlessly in Direct Query or Import modeMerging/Joining Queries (M Language) to filter useful data to make visuals on a high granular levelEstablishing dynamic table relations with desired Cross filtering directions.Implementing measures in DAX that filter out values from different tables to display calculationsVisuals with Level Filters that maintain data consistency across interactive/dynamic pagesSlicer Selections and Syncing across report pagesEvaluate and improve existing BI systemsDevelop and update technical documentationCollaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and understand business needsPerforms other duties as requiredAbility to travel, up to 25%.

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience working with companies or clients in the Oil & Gas industry is required.4+ Years of experience with Power BI, DAX, and M required.Experience with SQL, R, and Python is a plus.In-depth understanding of the following: Data Modelling, Merging and Joining tables, Cross Filtering Techniques, PowerQuery (M language)Visualization: Power BI Desktop, Advanced Visual Interactions, Visual Level Filters, Measures (DAX), Action Buttons, Bookmarks and Custom ThemesSharing/Publishing: Power BI Service, Data Refresh Schedules, Embedded Power BI ReportsDAX and Power Query M, implementing this for developing Power BI custom connectors for Language Detection
