Role DescriptionThis is a full-time remote role for an Expert Firebird SQL Developer at Verasoft. You will be responsible for comprehensive programming, scripting, performance analysis, and optimization on Firebird SQL. You must have excellent communication and collaboration skills, as you will be working with global teams who are responsible for end-to-end software applications.

ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain Firebird databases to meet organizational needsOptimize and tune database performance for maximum efficiencyMigrate and validate Firebird version releasesCollaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and address database requirementsTroubleshoot and resolve database issues in a timely mannerImplement and maintain database security measures to protect sensitive informationCreate and maintain documentation for database processes and proceduresStay updated on industry trends and best practices for Firebird database development

RequirementsProven experience as a Firebird Database Developer with a minimum of 5 years in a similar roleSolid understanding of database design principles and normalizationProficiency in SQL and stored procedure developmentExperience with database performance optimization and tuningStrong problem-solving and troubleshooting skillsAbility to work collaboratively in a team environmentExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field

Preferred SkillsKnowledge of Firebird replication and clusteringFamiliarity with cross-database migration Experience with multi-tenant architecture and implementationExperience with other SQL databases, such as MySQL/Aurora and PostgreSQLUnderstanding of data warehousing concepts
