Location: 100% remoteWorking time: 75% - 100%, flexible hours

Responsibilities of a software engineer at aktien.guide include:

Implementing new and expanding existing customer facing features and backend features with use of background processing - all to develop professional investment tools for private investorsApplying design and UX changes or implementing modern design and UX for newly built features based on mockups prepared by a designerDeveloping bug fixes, maintaining existing code, keeping the dependencies up-to-date and writing unit tests for any new features or changesWorking very closely with the Product Owner and actively participating in building our product

We are looking for a person who:

Has experience of at least one year (ideally two years) as a full stack web developer and is comfortable and fluent with both Ruby and Ruby on RailsHas good knowledge of CSS, Bootstrap 5, JavaScriptKnows or is willing to learn modern Ruby on Rails technologies (e.g. Turbo, Stimulus, Propshaft, ViewComponent)Has experience with background processing using SidekiqIs familiar with MySQL and has basic knowledge of how to deal with it efficientlyWants to work in a small engineering team and participate in building the team and growing our productHas a very good command of written and spoken English (B2+)Is positive, communicative, responsible, can work both independently and in a team
