GDT is seeking for a Senior Developer / Engineer to join our organization, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless integration, automation, and efficient deployment of our applications The ideal candidate is an automation expert who is self-motivated, organized, and positive problem solver who is wired to care. A stickler for enforcing quality and service standards as well as having a true talent and drive for resolving issues, identifying trends, and recommending improvements is strongly desired. The ability to adapt to changing environments rather quickly is a must as well as being a creative, passionate, team player is a must!

Key Responsibilities:

Code Development:Develop and maintain modular and reusable code for application integrations.Emphasize best practices to enhance code maintainability.

Automation:Implement automation solutions for infrastructure provisioning, firmware updates, fault detection, and system monitoring.Drive operational efficiency through automated processes.

Pipeline Design:Design and construct robust testing and deployment pipelines.Ensure smooth code transitions from development to production environments.

Code Quality Assurance:Uphold and enforce code quality standards across development projects.Ensure adherence to organizational coding standards.

Technical Strategy:Analyze project objectives and translate them into technical specifications.Devise comprehensive execution strategies for successful project implementation.

Basic Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in Python.Working knowledge of one or more scripting languages: Perl, PHP, PowerShell, or Bash.Proficiency with Unix-based operating systems; comfortable in a CLI environment.Understanding of how to write complicated python-based applications that are maintainable and flexible.Experience in Pipeline/deployment development and CLI expertise BASH/PowerShellWrite and maintain scalable, efficient, and responsive automation code for our new development initiatives.Work with design and engineering teams to build features from concept through implementation.Share expertise with teammates through code reviews, and weekly product critiques.Search and propose new approaches to work, new tools, and best practices for the team.Adhere to internal coding standards, development processes, and best practices.Solid understanding of fundamental networking principles.Experience in system administration.Familiarity with software development practices, including revision control, unit testing, code deployment strategies, and documentation.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience of Automations and Orchestration platforms like KubernetesExperience using CloudFormation, Terraform or equivalentExperience with Python libraries and tooling.Experience with containerization technologies such as DockerFamiliarity with cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).Awareness of SOAP API compatibility issues and client-side performance considerations.Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
