Role: AEM-Java developer Location:- Remote Basic Purpose: Backend developer to work with a team of front-end and backend developers in building templates, components, and integrations in Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) for QuestDiagnostics.com and other Quest Diagnostics marketing websites. The candidate will also partner with product owners, testers, and vendors as needed to create web experiences that advance Quest as an industry and technology leader. Required skills and experience: • Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) development; Java/J2EE; custom integrations development (e.g., web services, APIs); scripting languages such as JavaScript and JavaScript libraries. Knowledge of Java Content Repository and Apache Sling. Proficient in HTML5 and CSS. • Experience with search engine integration. Experience with Apache Solr Fusion and Lucene a plus. • Excellent problem-solving skills and proven ability to systematically debug problems and isolate root cause. • Analytical skills, to critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, and decompose high-level information into clear potential deliverables. • Ability to facilitate meetings with individuals and groups to gather, understand, and articulate business needs. • Strong oral and written English language skills, to communicate effectively with customers, managers, and technical staff. • Able to work independently and complete projects from start to finish with little supervision. • Skilled in SDLC. Agile experience a plus. Candidate will: • Build AEM templates and components for Quest Diagnostics websites. • Create and manage AEM workflows and user permissions. • Implement backend integrations, such as web services and APIs. • Create custom AEM reports as needed. • Support search engine integration and implementation (Solr, Fusion, Lucene). • Provide production support, ensuring that websites operate per service level agreements. Troubleshoot and debug functionality issues. • Write clear, well organized technical documentation. Qualifications • 5+ years of hands-on experience in web development. • 3+ years of hands-on experience in AEM development (developing templates, workflows, user permissions, and integrations). • Hands-on web development experience in the healthcare industry preferred. Certification • AEM Certified Developer a plus
