Contractual Role: Layer7/ Apigee Gateway Developer 7+ Years (Remote)

In this role, the Developer will work in areas of designing, developing Proxies, modifying and managing CA/Layer7 API Gateway and APIGEE Gateway, including deploying, refactoring policies for migration, integrating with datastores and backend systems. May also develop additional tools/utilities and will need to have the following skills to perform daily activities: • Design, Implement, and manage CA API gateway and Apigee solutions to enable secure and efficient API communications. • Hands-on experience in API management platforms, such as Layer 7 and/or the CA API Gateway and Apigee API related activities such as: requirement analysis, solution architecture and design, building API policies, shared Flows and assertions. • Hands-on experience with XSLTs to manage Request/Response transformations for SOAP proxies. • Familiarity with the OAuth component of the CA API Gateway/Apigee and all aspects of client registrations. • Experience with Gateway Migration Utility (Layer 7 / CA API Gateway) and automating proxies, shared flows deployments on Apigee gateways. • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to API gateway functionality, connectivity and performance. • In-depth knowledge of OAuth, JWT, and JWKS and their underlying specifications. • Prior experience with creating and maintaining design documentation including use cases and sequence diagrams. • Prior experience developing software in Java is highly desired. The ideal candidate would be able to develop on L7/APIGEE primarily and Java micro service on demand basis
