Title: API Developer

Duration: 1 Year with possible extension

Location: Madison, WI- UW Madison campus

Candidates MUST be WI residents or willing to relocate to WI prior to starting the role at their own expense. This position can work 100% remote (within the state of WI).

API Developer

The University of Wisconsin Madison is looking for a developer to assist with analysis and building of APIs in support of external applications to our Workday environment.

We are looking for a candidate that can work independently in a small team setting to perform analysis, coding, and testing.

The ASP API team supports our current ATP project (Workday) by creating APIs for various external applications that require HR and Financial data.

Responsibilities:

Meet regularly with Development Team and leads.Attend standup meetings to report on work status.Work closely with Functional Business Analysts to troubleshoot and discuss problem resolution.Code and Test APIs.

Required Skills:

3 5 years of Python3 years AWS experienceSQL/DatabaseMinimum 2 years of API building experience

Preferred Skills:

Experience with frameworks TerraformGitlab CI/CDApigee API management

Education

Bachelor s Degree Is Preferred, But Not Required

Other software used: SQL Developer, Gitlab, Atlassian JIRA
