Job Description

Technical Skills:

Couchbase Fundamentals: In-depth understanding of the Couchbase database platform, including its architecture, data model (document-oriented), and key features.NoSQL Concepts: Strong grasp of NoSQL database concepts, differences from relational databases, and knowledge of when to use NoSQL solutions like Couchbase.Data Modeling: Proficiency in designing data models that align with Couchbase's flexible JSON document structure, optimizing data storage and retrieval efficiency.N1QL Query Language: Ability to write complex queries using N1QL (Couchbase's query language) for data retrieval, filtering, sorting, and aggregation.ndexing: Knowledge of creating and managing various types of indexes (primary, secondary, full-text) to optimize query performance in Couchbase.Data Replication and Sync: Experience in setting up and managing data replication and synchronization between Couchbase clusters or devices.Cluster Management: Expertise in configuring, scaling, and managing Couchbase clusters, including node setup, failover, and rebalancing.Security: Understanding of security features in Couchbase, including user authentication, authorization, role-based access control, and data encryption.Performance Optimization: Skill in tuning Couchbase configuration settings, query performance, and indexing strategies to achieve optimal application performance.Caching: Familiarity with Couchbase's caching capabilities and integration with caching layers to improve application response times.Integration: Experience integrating Couchbase with various programming languages, frameworks, and tools used in application development.

Functional Skills:

Application Development: Proficiency in software development using relevant programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, Node.js) to build applications that interact with Couchbase.Backend Development: Ability to create backend services, APIs, and business logic that interact with Couchbase databases and serve as data sources for frontend applications.Data Migration: Skill in migrating data from other databases to Couchbase and ensuring data integrity during the migration process.Troubleshooting: Strong problem-solving skills to identify and address issues related to Couchbase performance, data consistency, and connectivity.Collaboration: Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams, collaborating with frontend developers, database administrators, and other stakeholders.Testing and Quality Assurance: Experience writing unit tests, integration tests, and conducting performance testing to ensure the reliability of Couchbase-integrated applications.Version Control: Familiarity with version control systems like Git for managing and tracking changes in codebase.
