Summary or PositionThe Monetization & Portfolio Management (MPM) team within Warner Bros Discovery Technology Operations is looking for a Sr. Backend Developer that will lead and support multiple initiatives with our Global Brands & Experience (GBE) division. This role is responsible for developing according to technical specifications and/or approved mockups.
Work Experience / Qualifications4+ years of PHP experience, preferably using Wordpress2+ users experience developing or consuming a content management system2+ years utilizing APIs or microservices, including familiarity with at least two popular authentication protocols such as oauthKnowledge of standard source code management and build tools such as Jira, Git, GitHub Actions and JenkinsExperience working in Agile (Scrum or Kanban) methodologyExperience working in very small and matrixed teamsFamiliarity with all stages of SDLC, including ticket refinement, unit testing, functional testing, and deployment.
Required SkillsUnderstand business requirements and translate into technical design specificationsUtilize applicable application configuration and development toolsets to build, configure and/or test solutions that adhere to design specification and business requirements.Provide t-shirt size estimates as well as detailed estimates through product and sprint grooming processesLead design and implementation of new user stories and bug fixes.Ability to guide teams to ensure application features are of highest standard & meet business prioritiesPerform unit, QA and/or load testing where applicable. Write test scripts, define test data, and think through boundary conditions and code paths. Comprehensive testing covering all aspects of an application: performance, security, usability, and end-user experience.
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
