Senior Backend Node.js Developer with Web3 (Blockchain) Experience

A client of Scalable Path is looking for a part-time senior backend Node.js developer with experience using the NestJS framework. Ideally, you'll have some knowledge and experience in the Web3 blockchain space.

CLIENT COMPANY DESCRIPTION:The client is a mobile gaming company based in South Korea that's developing a Web3 game wallet.

OVERVIEW:Our client is looking for a part-time senior backend Node.js developer with experience using the NestJS framework. Ideally, you'll have some knowledge and experience in the Web3 blockchain space. You'll be collaborating with a small product team, and your primary focus will be developing and maintaining an API server (plus Admin) to support a Web3 wallet (chrome extension and web app), as well as a new Discord bot (web app). The ideal candidate will have experience designing scalable APIs, and integrating with 3rd party APIs, as well as knowledge of blockchain concepts – understanding the principles of tokens, smart contracts, blockchain transactions, NFT metadata, etc.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:The ideal candidate is experienced, detail-oriented, and has the initiative to offer more than one way of solving a technical problem. Experience working in a startup environment is preferable.

• Planning and requirements review- Backend development of API server and ongoing maintenance- Backend development of Discord bot- System monitoring, issue response and verification

RELATIONSHIPS - WHO YOU'LL BE WORKING WITH:You will be working directly with a small R&D/product team comprising the head of the company's NFT group, product manager, UI/UX designer, and frontend developer.

START DATE:As soon as possible.

EXPECTED CONTRACT DURATION:6 - 12 months.There is a good possibility the engagement will last longer if all goes well.

PREFERRED REGIONS:The client's preference is for candidates to be located in Latin America or Canada.
