About the role
We are seeking a talented CMS Developer with a strong understanding of page builder's, server-side, API integrations and custom plugin development to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for building and maintaining custom CMS plugins that extend the functionality of the platform while ensuring seamless integration with external APIs utilizing all aspects on CMS platforms i.e: (WordPress, Shopify,etc)
Responsibilities
The following are the typical roles and responsibilities of a CMS developer within a development team:
Design and develop custom CMS plugins to meet specific client requirements and integrate with external APIsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze business requirements, design solutions, and implement custom plugins to meet business needsCreate technical documentation for custom plugins, including requirements, specifications, design documents, and test plansTroubleshoot and resolve issues related to custom plugin development, API integrations, and CMS platform functionalityWork with third-party vendors to integrate their APIs into our CMS platformStay up-to-date with the latest trends, techniques, and technologies related to CMS development, API integration, and custom plugin development
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related fieldAt least 3 years of experience in CMS development, with a focus on API integration and custom plugin developmentExperience with at least one major CMS platform, such as WordPress, Drupal, or JoomlaStrong understanding of web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHPExperience with API development and integration using REST, SOAP, or GraphQLAbility to create custom plugins and modules for CMS platforms using PHP or other relevant programming languagesExperience with version control systems such as GitStrong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues
