The proposed level of effort for this engagement is approximately sixty (60) months (10,440 hours) which will end on February 05, 2029. Any increases in the scope, requirements, or scheduling may result in a new or extended professional services agreement.

Job Description

The client is actively looking for two senior Java/Angular web consultants for immediate hire on the Core Web Team. Our team's core responsibility is to develop, support, modernize and maintain internal and public facing web applications that serve the needs of the citizens of State of Utah.

As an example, during the Covid 19 pandemic, in three weeks, our team built the platform behind that allows the Department of Workforce Services to provide emergency rental assistance to tens of thousands of people that have faced or currently face eviction. Whether you prefer a long term or fast-paced, short-term project, this is the team for you.

We have more than 60 applications in production and many more in the pipeline.You will always be challenged with exciting new ideas and technologies such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), CI/CD with GitHub Actions and implementing a DevOps culture.Some other opportunities on this team are:Experience with modern web development technologies including but not limited to:Java Web APIs in the modern Spring stack (Spring MVC / Spring Boot / JPA)Angular user interfacesRelational database design with Oracle/PostgreSQLBootstrap 4+ responsive designExperience with Agile development methodologies such as SCRUM including experience with the Atlassian tools (Jira/Confluence), sprint planning and retrospectives, and regular team stand-up meetings.Experience working on a development team in both new and existing projects.Experience with GitHub and GitFlow Pull Request modelExcellent oral and written communicationAt least 4 years of Information Technology experiencePreference given to candidates with the following qualifications:Experience with GitHub Actions including automated CI/CDExperience with AWS services for web applications including but not limited to ECR, ECS, S3, ALBExperience with Infrastructure as Code with Terraform
