PHP Developer

Advent Resources is a software company with over 30 years in the industry offering sales, inventory and customer management platforms used by some of the largest car dealerships in the country.

ABOUT THE ROLEA person in this role has a full understanding of their area of specialization and resolves a wide range of issues in creative ways. They are able to successfully lead and collaborate in teams for planning and decision-making. They demonstrate good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. The person in this role has mastered the core and foundational understanding of software development and is ready to start contributing what they have learned at an advanced level. They would receive some instruction on day-to-day work but may require general instruction on new assignments.

WHAT YOU'LL DOBe responsible for leading projects from design to deployment.Responsible for designing and executing technical solutions to complex business problems.Work with senior developers and architects to accomplish technical objectives.Conducts code & design reviews with team members.Review, understand and recommend updates to our coding and technical design standards and practices.Collaborates with architects in recommending emerging technologies and application solutions.Works on enhancement requests from internal and external product owners.Develop a strong team by collaborating and mentoring team members.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:Strong communication skills to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.Strong organization skills to keep multiple initiatives on track.2-4 years of experience in PHPStrong knowledge of object-oriented design patterns.Separation of concernsExposure to Zend FrameworkExposure to PHP UnitExposure to SOAP web servicesExperience in SQL database design. PostgreSQL experience is a plus.Ability to work both within a team and independently as required.Experience in client-side technologies: JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Ajax, Bootstrap, React. ExtJS/Sencha experience is a plus.Have a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalentMust be eligible for work in the US.
