Backend Developer Intern (NodeJS)

We are a dynamic and innovative startup in search of a passionate Backend Developer Intern (NodeJS) to enrich our team. In this role, you will engage with exciting projects, gaining hands-on experience in the development of world-class production quality applications using NodeJS and Typescript. Good understanding of Backend, Typescript, Databases and System Design is a fundamental requirement for this role.

Responsibilities:Build and maintain high-quality NodeJS backend microservices and database architecture with complete guidance.Implement custom REST API with authentication, security and best practices. Produce efficient, clean, and reusable code utilizing the Typescript, NodeJS.Manage deployment of backend services on Cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP).Write Unit Test and End to End Tests.Work in tandem with designers, frontend developers and product managers to comprehend project requirements.Participate actively in code reviews to uphold code quality, performance, and adherence to best practices.Debug and rectify issues reported by testers or users, ensuring seamless and reliable application performance.Stay abreast of the latest NodeJS and Typescript trends, frameworks, and tools, applying them to enhance development processes and elevate application performance.Assist in comprehensive documentation of code, processes, and workflows for ease of understanding and future maintainability.Collaborate proactively with team members, contributing actively to team meetings, discussions, and brainstorming sessions.

Qualifications:Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.Basic understanding of System Architecture and best practices.Good knowledge of Database concepts (MySQL/PostgreSQL) and any of the cloud provider. Having hands-on experience with any of the cloud providers will be an added advantage.Strong problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.Capability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies and frameworks.Familiarity with version control systems such as Git is a plus.Prior experience in backend development or personal projects is advantageous.Familiarity with Unit Testing will be added advantage.
