We are seeking a talented AS400 Developer to join us in our office 2x a week in the Tampa location. This is not a remote based role and candidates unable to make it into the office will NOT be considered.

We seek candidates with expertise in the following areas:

Proficiency in specialized IBM I programming (RPG, CL, ILE, SQL)Advanced experience in formulating optimized intricate SQL statements in DB2Understanding of Web Services/Restful API, SOA, XML/JSONComprehensive experience in the Full System Development LifecycleEngagement in a hybrid working model with 2 to 3 days in the officeAvailability for on-call support during critical system failuresDemonstrated critical thinking and effective problem-solving skills

Exclusive Duties:

Act as the primary liaison and lead support associate for multiple specialized applicationsPlay a pivotal role in supporting the specialized application lifecycle, from design and development to testing, release, and supportCollaborate closely with technical/business leaders and product owners to comprehend requirements and acceptance criteriaDevelop, maintain, test, analyze performance, troubleshoot/fix specialized applications and relevant codeProvide dedicated support for mission-critical specialized applications and contribute to resolving stakeholder issuesDesign intricate backend database schemasDeliver distinctive, well-documented, and easily maintainable code adhering to proprietary coding standardsDevelop specialized unit/UI tests for identifying unique defects and leverage CI/CD for distinctive code deploymentManage and resolve unique production issues, collaborating with multiple teams for problem analysisAssign and review specialized tasks from junior and offshore software specialistsParticipate in specialized new hire interviewsInfluence the discovery and decision-making process for unique changes to standards and technologyProvide specialized support to the business by addressing unique user questions, concerns, and issuesUndertake distinctive projects/tasks as assigned

Qualifications:

Bachelor s Degree in a specialized field related to Computer Science/Computer Engineering or equivalent years of specialized software development experience5-7 years of exclusive experience in specialized programming languages (IBM-i)Advanced expertise in specialized areas such as RPG/400, RPG FREE, ILE, CL, CLLE, DBU, DB2SQL, SQLRPGLEFamiliarity with specialized tools like IBM I rational, Implementer/MDCMS, Xanalysis, Advance Query Tool, Jira, ConfluenceTimely completion of assigned specialized tasks to meet unique project velocityKnowledge of specialized design frameworks and patterns, with a proven track record of implementing them in specialized software developmentAwareness of industry-wide specialized technology strategies and best practicesSpecialized experience in relational database designFamiliarity with specialized Agile software development methodologyAbility to research emerging specialized software development frameworks and toolsCapability to estimate the scope of unique medium to large-sized projectsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, especially in a specialized contextKnowledge and mastery of the full specialized software development lifecycleExceptional troubleshooting and issue resolution skillsRegular, predictable, full attendance is an indispensable function of this unique roleWillingness to engage in specialized travel as necessary, adhere to a specialized schedule, work at the specific location required, complete a specialized employment application, and undergo specialized background investigation and drug screening are unique requisites.
