Role purpose:

A successful AWS Developer will be a part of a distributed software development and services operations team, delivering into a prominent high street organisation, playing a key role in application modernisation projects working directly with our clients, enhancing existing services as well as supporting services and integrations.

You will have the opportunity to demonstrate your strong JavaScript/TypeScript coding skills using AWS native cloud technologies such as Lambda functions, Serverless and Infrastructure as a Code tools Key responsibilities:

Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve issues related to the AWS environment and application stack down to code level. Implementing workarounds and preventive measures to avoid future problems working within contracted SLAsDevelop and deploy serverless applications and functions using AWS Lambda, API Gateway, and other serverless services working on both production and non-production environments.Expertise in leveraging AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, ECS, Lambda, DynamoDB and more to optimize application effectiveness, and performance.Develop and maintain automation scripts for various operational tasks and maintenance activities.Work in a scrum team working closely with other development and operations teams to foster a culture of collaboration, ensuring smooth communication and shared responsibilities.

Skills and experience: Developer experience in a microservices based environment including AWS Serverless, Lambda, SQS, DynamoDB, and Amazon API GatewayExperience working with Agile processes and methodologiesExcellent software development, modernisation, and transformation experienceGood communication, facilitation, and a team player. Passion for public cloud-based application technologies and methodologies.
