Neogen are excited to be partnered with a remote first Edinburgh Software company in the Education tech sector operating an optional 4 day working week.
They are looking for a talented PHP Developer to join them on a permanent basis.
The tech stack is a mixture of PHP and JavaScript and while this role is focused on the PHP (including the Laravel and Lumen frameworks) aspect of our stack, should you happen to have experience with JavaScript (we make use of both React and Node) even better but by no means is this required.
The hard skills needed:
Extensive software development experience and expertiseDeep understanding of PHP and/or JavaScript (React) and practical abilityExcellent hands-on programming knowledge – PHP (Laravel and//or Lumen) & ReactProven AWS understanding and applicationHands-on experience working with both serverless & microservices.Agile experience, such as Scrum, and familiarity with ceremonies like Stand-up & RetrospectiveFeature design experience, such as writing acceptance criteria and writing user stories.Confident with Testing, namely an understanding of the importance of comprehensive and intelligent tests and unit tests. Ideally comfortable with BDD, TDD and automated testing.·Able to support team growth and mentor junior team membersEncountered continuous integration and continuous delivery
