What You’ll Do
Design, code, and configure features, bugfixes, test automation and in devops/deployment areas.Collaborate with cross-functional teams and other engineers.Independently debug and resolve bugs or issues, identifying the root cause and implementing fixes with minimal collateral damage.Collaborate with architects to ensure seamless interaction of architectural components, meeting requirements and performance goals.Code automated unit, service, database and UI automation tests, demonstrating self-direction in testing strategies.Provide guidance and mentorship to junior software engineers, fostering a collaborative and learning-oriented environment.Adhere to development standards and best practices and showcase technical solutions in code reviews to fellow software engineers effectively.Perform additional duties and activities as required, adapting to changes in responsibilities with flexibility.Please note that this job description is not exhaustive and may evolve over time, reflecting adjustments to duties, responsibilities, and activities. What You’ve Done
We're on the lookout for dynamic individuals with a degree in computer science or a related field and a rich professional background spanning 5 to 7 years as a full stack developer. The ideal candidate will impress us with a versatile skill set, placing significant focus on design, coding and test automation. Mastery of modern technology stacks, including Java, Microsoft SQL, Spring, Spring Boot, Rest services, and Microservices, CI/CD/Devops, test automation is a must. In addition to a solid technical foundation, we cherish attributes such as effective leadership, problem-solving prowess, and a proactive approach to overcoming challenges. Possess a bachelor’s degree, or higher, in Computer Science, Computer Information Sciences, or a related field, or its foreign equivalent.Accumulated 5 to 7 years of comprehensive full stack experience in software development, demonstrating a depth of expertise in the field.Acquired a minimum of 2 to 3 years of hands-on experience with real world enterprise product development.Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.Exhibited proficiency in Object-oriented design, development with a minimum of 4 years in Java, Microsoft SQL Server, Spring, Spring Boot, Rest services, and Microservices, among other technologies.Proficient in SQL and database technologies; able to develop, troubleshoot and optimize stored procedures and queries. Hands-on experience with database design, optimization, and maintenance.Experience with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and front-end frameworks (e.g., Angular, React).Proficient in developing with test automation frameworks such as Junit, Selenium/Nightwatch JS or similar tools.Good understanding and practical experience with CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, Azure Pipelines, or similar.Good experience with cloud native architectures, extracting and developing microservices and coding with cloud based servicesFamiliarity with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Adept at managing deadlines, effective communication within a team, and capable of operating independently with guidance when necessary.Understanding of estimating, analyzing, and navigating the Software Product Development Lifecycle within an Agile methodology framework.Exposure to Azure Cloud.Knowledge or experience in the Insurance domain is considered an added advantage.
