The Software Developer II develops custom software solutions to support projects and delivers new functionality for software and other applications. Evaluates and translates business requirements into technical specifications and works with other developers to produce software based on stated requirements. Runs automated tests and supports manual testing/QA/UAT of software solutions prior to deployment. Identifies and supports systems post-development, troubleshoots performance issues, and handles subsequent upgrades / feature enhancements. Works independently with general supervision. May influence others within the job area through explanation of facts, policies, and practices.
Responsibilities:
Performs unit testing to ensure the proper implementation and functioning of requirements. Supports Quality Assurance (QA) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) of software solutions prior to deployment. Contributes to designing, developing, documenting, testing, and debugging of applications software and systems. Creates and implements documentation as necessary to allow for the proper promotion and support of the functionality being delivered. Translates and develops business requirements into technical specifications to be used for software coding. Participates in the technical design to ensure the business rules are properly identified and implemented. Creates and develops software code based on technical specifications.Evaluates and identifies impediments in the systems post-deployment to troubleshoot performance issues and handle subsequent upgrades.
Requirements:
High School Diploma/GED required. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, and/or a related field preferred.Minimum 4 years of experience in web and/or software development. Service-oriented architecture (SOA) and representational state transfer (REST) web-based services development preferred.Intermediate experience and knowledge using one or more object-oriented programming languages such as C++, Java, Swift, Python.Intermediate experience managing relational database systems in SQL/mySQL and performing code management in Visual Studio. Intermediate experience in Ruby on Rails, .NET frameworks, DevOps, Rackspace, PaaS offerings and Tableau.Intermediate experience with database integrations and process improvement.

For employees in Colorado only, the anticipated range is $86,760 to $108,450. Actual starting base salary will depend on geographical location, skills, and relevant experience.
The Company also may provide benefits with this position including but not limited to: medical, dental, and vision insurance; Flexible Spending Accounts (FSUs) and/or Health Savings Accounts (HSAs); Dependent Savings Accounts; 401(k) plan with employer matching; employee stock purchase plan; and potential for bonuses. The above wage range is the Company's current good faith expectation for this position. The actual amount paid and/or offered may be less or more than this range and will be based on factors including geographic location, education, training, or experience related to the work, seniority, merit, quantity and or quality of the work.
