Ansible Developer

Description

This group is responsible for the private cloud automation and infrastructure at our client. The specific team within the group is responsible for developing code for server provisioning and is split between on/offshore.

This project is taking the standardized factory-line server provisioning process they currently have, and customizing it for their larger internal clients by using automation to spit out servers to their liking. They will add in additional functions where they can, including speeding up the process, efficiencies, different levels of sql etc. The requirements from the client will be gathered and given to these resources. The contractors won’t be meeting with the client unless they have follow up questions.

Required Experience

GitOps for containerization management. OpenShift admin ideally

STRONG PYTHON DEVELOPMENT

Expertise in virtualization technologies like VMware vSphere for virtual machines (VMs) Strong experience in OS administration, spanning Linux and Windows. Proficiency/well-versed with Ansible for automation and configuration management, encompassing traditional scripts and configuration management. A comprehensive grasp of coding and scripting in Python or PowerShell. Proven experience with CI/CD tools such as Red Hat Ansible, Prometheus, Microsoft GitHub, Atlassian Jira, Confluence, or Jenkins. Practical familiarity with Azure or AWS resources and services. The ability to identify, evaluate, and integrate diverse open-source technologies and cloud services. Familiarity with various IT monitoring and management tools like Cloudflare and Datadog. Familiarity with containerization technologies. Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues across test and production environments. A robust foundation in IT hardware and operations, featuring hands-on experience in server, storage, and network device setup, provisioning, and monitoring. Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills within a team environment and in customer-facing scenarios.

Nice To Have Experience

This is typically complemented by knowledge of IT best DevOps practices for fault tolerance and high availability operations. Proficiency with container technologies like Docker and Kubernetes. Agile is preferred
