Why joinFirst up you’ll be joining at an early stage of a large new project that’s kicking off - you’ll help shape the architecture and direction of the product.

Part of the new functionality here will involve AI so you’ll experience how to incorporate it into a big scale system.

Everything here is about scale and performance, giving great learning exposure to serving millions of users with millisecond response times. The product is global and you’ll need to work out optimal caching in multiple locations.

This role is all about impact - you’ll be instrumental in leading this from the start and the plan is to build a small team around you in time. Worth noting this will at first be 90%+ hands-on coding.

Tech stackThis is bang up to date tech, Node, Typescript, Fastify, NextJs, React Server Components, GraphQL.

What we needYou’ll be vastly experienced with Node and Typescript, we’re relaxed about the framework. React is also key here although initially we envisage the work being more heavy on the back end. You’ll have opinions about the best way to do things, the best tools to use.

Previous work on a large scale SaaS platform or similar would be ideal, but the main thing here is understanding of a truly complex system, how the integrated parts fit together, how this relates to the overarching business.

LocationIdeally you’ll be able to commit to a little bit of London office time, but we can consider those further afield in the UK.
